Established since 1981, The Tekeyan Cultural Association Arshag Dickranian Armenian School is a private institution owned by Tekeyan Cultural Association, Inc., a non-profit, charitable organization with Federal and California Franchise tax-exempt status.
The aim of the school is to provide a high standard of education using the California State Education Curriculum and offer the students an opportunity to understand and value the Armenian language, its history culture and heritage.
Arshag Dickranian Armenian School creates a safe, natural and happy environment where students can learn about the value of integrity, leadership and responsibility and be given guidance to help them develop a healthy body, mind and spirit and to bring out their Armenian identity.
The school offers a complete and varied program to improve the learning skills and interests of each and every student which, in turn, prepares them for the challenges faced at higher education level and for the social responsibilities and ethical standards they will need in the future.
During Pre-Kindergarten and Kindergarten the student will be introduced to the basics of English and Armenian using teaching techniques which awakens their inquisitiveness of learning. Arithmetic, the arts and music, social studies and science are built into the program along with a daily nutrition service and a nap time.
