At Art is our Passion Studios we build artists by enhancing skills and capitalizing on little successes. Our experience with hundreds of students over the years has convinced us that artistic talent is not a gift to the lucky few but that everyone is born with creativity. Everyone can learn to create art.
Art is our Passion Studios programs reflect and support our belief that strong basic skills are imperative to foster creative exploration and thought. We start by teaching the student to see beyond the obvious, to the elements that form their picture. This is done through a process of breaking down the subject into simple shapes, lines and spaces. Next, basic methods like use of color, light and shadow; positive and negative space; composition and perspective are applied. Finally, these skills are enriched by the student's personal creativity and the strength of our highly trained and creative staff.
