Saint Anne School is a Catholic Kindergarten through 8th grade elementary and middle school with a mission to educate the whole child—mind, body and spirit. Founded in 1908, Saint Anne School has provided affordable, quality, Catholic education in a safe and nurturing learning environment in Santa Monica for over 100 years.
Curriculum: Saint Anne School offers a comprehensive Kindergarten through 8th Grade curriculum as stipulated by the Archdiocese of Los Angeles and according to California State Standards in the following subjects: Mathematics, English, Reading, Spelling, Social Studies, Science, Music, Art, Religion and Physical Education. Our dedicated teachers are all fully credentialed.
Curriculum Enhancement: Saint Anne School offers enrichment in: Math and Language: Accelerated Reader, a computer-based comprehension assessment program, Mountain Math and Language, for cyclical review, and Algebra I and Advanced Literature for qualified 8th graders; Music: school-wide music program includes choral music and instrumental instruction for all grade levels: Orff Instruction (gr. 1-3), recorder classes (gr. 4 and 5) and guitar classes (gr. 6-8), with all instruments provided for school and home practice; Computer: four desktop computers in each classroom; a thirty-computer learning lab; and school-wide internet connectivity; Science: UCLA Environmental Science Project, Science Club, and P.S. Science; Title I Remedial Reading: for qualified students.
Extra-Curricular Activities and After School Care: After School Care: available until 6 p.m., M-F. UCLA Homework Club: free one hour homework assistance 3 days per week; Sports Teams: CYO League teams in flag football, basketball and volleyball (gr. 5-8); Girl Scouts, Science Club; Debate Club; and Sacramental Preparation classes.
Tuition, Financial Aid and Admissions: Tuition for 2009-2010 is $3300 per student, payable in one, two or 10 installments. Multi-child family discounts, financial aid and scholarships are available. After school care is $150 per month per child, also with family discounts available.
