At First Lutheran Schools, we believe that each student is a unique and precious gift of God and that teachers are instruments of God's Spirit. Through direction and example students are prepared for responsible living by learning all subjects in light of God's Word. First Lutheran is not just an academic institution. It is also an institution that strives to empower students with skills and guidelines in how to live a responsible, honest, and productive life.
First Lutheran is a K – 12th grade program on two campuses located in the northeast San Fernando Valley. Our teachers and staff members are experienced and dedicated educators, choosing to work in this very special mission field. The elementary school has traditional classrooms for kindergarten through sixth grade.
The class sizes are small with one grade per class, allowing teachers to give maximum attention to the emotional and academic needs of his/her students. Students are challenged by our standard based curriculum that also teaches and affirms Christian values. A full physical educational program keeps our students fit
Each class also has weekly computer class and library privileges. Enrichment programs for music, dance, martial arts, and Mad Science are available on campus. By the time our students graduate they will be Christian Leaders who demonstrate a knowledge of God that stimulates appropriate behaviors as members of Christ’s body in all they say, think, and do and responsible Citizens who use mature strategies for solving problems.
