The space we live in is vitally important. Subconsciously, a well designed space makes us feel good. We spend a large portion of our lives in our homes, and being surrounded by an aesthetic space is a crucial part of the art of living.
Design Studio is owned and operated by John Montgomery. John has been designing and building home remodels and landscape projects, including swimming pools, pergolas, fountains, lighting and entry gates for over thirty years. John offers the complete design package: the home, interiors, and the landscape. And John provides project management to ensure the job is done right, and on time. This simplifies the process for the client, with only one person to deal with. And for John, overseeing the project ensures it will turn out as he and the client designed it.
John started out in Landscape Architecture, attaining a degree and a license. Over the years he also started designing and building remodels, creating beautiful spaces for his clients. He now specializes in remodels, in the landscape as well as the home. From bathrooms and kitchens, to additions. Altering existing space for more open and efficient use, like moving a wall or opening up a ceiling, can dramatically alter a home, without spending a fortune. Sometimes just changing surfaces can make a big difference.
Creating a fantastic outdoor space, for entertaining and relaxing, is always a priority for Design Studio. Everybody loves a beautifully designed patio with cooking, fountains, lighting for night time use, lush planting, and great seating. It’s a California tradition that John excels at.
