Through the fruitful efforts of Rabbi Shimon Kraft and his wife, Elizabeth, the Mitzvah Store opened their doors for business about a decade ago, providing the Los Angeles area with a Judaica store that fulfills a multitude of needs. Situated on Pico Boulevard, visitors often become lost in the wonderland that the 1,300-square-foot store creates, supplying patrons with enlightening sights that decorate the neat arrangement of the shop from head to toe. Every twist and turn provides a new delight that aims to please the pickiest of tastes and the strictest of budgets.
Once you have fallen in love with one of the nearly 7,000 books decorating the inside of the store or have settled on a beautiful havdalah tray for your closest friend, all major credit cards, cash, or checks are accepted as payment. To make sure you are able to experience the joy of browsing the wide range of Kiddush cups, mezuzah covers, various Tefillin, entertaining musical selections, wedding gifts, and Bar Mitzvah items, you should familiarize yourself with the varying shop hours:
Monday thru Thursday (10am – 7pm)
Friday (10am – 2 pm)
Sunday (10 am – 6 pm)
In addition, Rabbi Shimon Kraft is a certified Sofer StaM.
