When growing up, some people know what they want to be and simply go out and do it. Easy enough. Maybe you are one of them. For a majority of people, however, a life vision or passion is something they discover along the way. Eventually, most people have a good idea of the general area of work they want to pursue, be it medicine, fixing things, doing something creative, teaching children, etc. Sometimes that takes years to discover. But the journey is half the fun.
That seems to be the way of life at Epic. As the church has grown up over the years, we have had an idea of the kind of community we wanted to be. But in many ways, what form that took none of us knew. So we have been open and flexible, willing to change, morph, and evolve...
We like to describe ourselves as a community of discovery, love, and service. To actually be a faith community is one of the things that God has impressed upon us. Accordingly, it has become our direction, focus, and passion.
