With more than 15 years experience as a marriage and family therapist, Dr. Sheida S. Francis has assisted many who have sought her expertise in overcoming various relationship issues stemming from anxiety, low self-esteem, childhood trauma, depression and post-traumatic stress disorders.
Through Mindfulness Psychotherapy, Humanistic and Psychodynamic orientations, Dr. Francis has successfully assisted individuals, couples and families in managing a variety of emotional issues and personality disorders. Other areas of her expertise include stretch management, anger management, navigating painful divorce issues, managing grief and loss, and treating panic attack and mood disorders.
After earning her Ph.D. from the California Graduate Institute, Dr. Francis chose to remain in California where now she practices from her office in Los Angeles. Believing that a balance between psychological, spiritual and physical health can be attained and, therefore, must be attained in order for individuals and couples to enjoy the quality relationships that they deserve, Dr. Francis strives to lead individuals in discovering their hidden motivations and in understanding the underlying feelings that fuel them. Dr. Francis specializes in assisting with the most complicated relationship issues, as well as helping people manage depression, including that which is caused by chronic pain or illness. She is wholly committed to helping people better understand themselves in order to create new perspectives and redefine their own lives for the better.
