The Thumos Health Center specializes in Chinese herbology and acupuncture. Their philosophy is to promote their patients with the most desired state of healthfulness. For that reason, the center is named after the ancient Greek term thumos, which signifies passion, spiritedness, and vitality.
The Thumos Health Center also focuses on women’s health issues and fertility. They have many patient referrals from the Santa Monica and Los Angeles area obstetrician-gynecologists when they believe that a patient can benefit from Thumos Health Center’s experience.
Brian Abel and Ganit Kriel completely devote themselves to their fertility patients’ well-being. The fertility treatment involved at Thumos involves no less than a 3 to 6 month treatment plan which incorporates analysis and counseling.
Thumos have also made great gains in the area of IVF treatment. Acupuncture is given to an IVF patient, to entice her body back into a functioning alignment, which has a positive effect on her fertility. Acupuncture is performed twice on the IVF patient, before and after the embryo is implanted.
Thumos is located in Pacific Palisades, California. They also have satellite clinics in Santa Monica and Beverly Hills.
