Sushi Go 55 is a Japanese owned and operated family business. Owned by the Morishita family, we have been in the restaurant business in Little Tokyo for over 60 years. We started Eigiku restaurant in Little Tokyo in the 1950's and served the area thru 1987.
In 1966, our Eigiku restaurant opened and it was the 2nd sushi bar in America. During the 1980's, we opened Seafood-Sushi Eigiku in Santa Monica Place across the street from the now Promenade.
Currently we have two restaurants. Sushi Go 55 and Izakaya Haru Ulala (a Japanese style tavern/pub where people eat small dishes and drink) on 2nd Street near Central in Little Tokyo.
Our sushi features the freshest and highest quality fish flown in from Japan and all over the world bought fresh daily.
Great for dinner before or after shows, concerts, and sporting events at Staples Center, Disney Hall, MOCA, Japanese American National Museum, Dodger Stadium, shopping, sightseeing in Little Tokyo and Downtown LA.
