For those looking for a quality thrift shop in the San Fernando Valley or LA area, Council Thrift Shops, is an excellent choice. These thrift shops have been ranked in the top ten across the country.
The shops were first founded back in 1924. They were a result that came of the Immigrant Aid Program. The very first store included household items. Today there are eight different stores, and they now receive over 50,000 donations each year.
A variety of items are available at Council Thrift Shops. Customers can find clothing for men, women, and kids. Furniture is available, collectibles can be found, and even jewelry, appliances, and accessories are available.
The clientele includes a wide variety of people, from actors, to musicians, costumers, and more. The revenues that are generated from the eight different stores work to provide funding to programs in the community for children, families, and at risk women.
